Injured in a Motorcycle Wreck? Our Attorneys can Help

Motorcycle wrecks are often more complicated than car wrecks because motorcycle riders frequently suffer more severe injuries, but are not protected by the same kind of medical insurance that covers cars. In addition, juries often have an unfair impression of motorcycle riders as being “risk takers.”

At James Trauring & Associates, LLC, we have years of experience representing motorcyclists and their passengers. If you or a loved one were injured in motorcycle wreck, we want to help get you compensation for pain and suffering, medical care and lost wages if you miss time from work.

Some of the most common causes of motorcycle wrecks include:

Distracted driving (cell phone usage, texting, loud music, etc.)

  • Fatigue
  • Intoxication
  • Road rage
  • Driver Inexperience
  • Speeding
  • Failure to yield right of way
  • Illegal lane changes
  • Failure to comply with traffic signals

No matter the reason for your motorcycle wreck, let the attorneys at James Trauring & Associates, LLC, take a look at your case. Call us today for a free consultation.

The Importance of Having Enough Insurance for Motorcyclists

If you own a motorcycle, even if you only ride occasionally, you should protect yourself by making sure that your motorcycle insurance policy will provide additional coverage if you’re injured in a wreck by someone who either has no insurance or has too little insurance. You can protect yourself by purchasing under insured motorist coverage (“UIM”) and uninsured motorist coverage (“UM”) on your motorcycle insurance policy. Your own auto insurance policies generally will not provide any protection if you’re hurt on a motorcycle, even if you have paid for full tort as well as UIM and UM coverage. Your separate motorcycle insurance UIM and UM can protect you even when your helmet, jacket and boots can’t.
